Geneva, Switzerland, August 6, 2018 – Global blockchain company DECENT has just announced its expansion into South Korea and has opened a new office in one of the busiest districts in the country’s capital, Seoul. The company strategically chose the Gangnam district, known as the heart of the Korean tech and business scene, one of the largest in the world.
DECENT recently introduced its Korean representative, Joo Hyun Oh (John Oh), who was instrumental in establishing a presence in South Korea and setting up its newest office space. Mr. Oh is an entrepreneur, passionate about building products and problem solving. As the Founder and former CEO of ALIVE, a mobile video editing/sharing community with over 10 million users around the world, he gained years of professional experience in business development, research, and consulting and extensive knowledge of the startup culture. His qualifications, strong enthusiasm for innovative technologies, and his influence in the tech industry make him a strong addition to the DECENT team.
“Businesses built on top of blockchain technology have huge potential in South Korea. The region is bursting with blockchain enthusiasts who are rapidly becoming leaders in the crypto space. We’ve been looking into expanding our company here for a while, and our partnership with TTC Protocol has allowed us the opportunity to establish our brand in the heart of the capital. With John on board as our Korean Representative, we aim to enlarge our community and make a global impact in the blockchain industry,” says Matej Michalko, Founder and CEO of DECENT.
Look for more developments to come out of Seoul now that DECENT, one of the hottest blockchain companies of the year, has established a new branch in the WeWork Seolleung, in the Gangnam district, which is right in heart of South Korea’s capital city.
Founded in 2015, DECENT is a non-profit foundation that has developed an open-source blockchain platform, named DCore. Cooperating closely with top investment funds and incubators, DECENT is dedicated to build the ecosystem upon its proprietary blockchain technology to help developers and businesses adapt to a decentralized future.
