Monthly Recap – June 2018

Here what happened at DECENT this past June!

Welcome to the June monthly recap for all things DECENT. To all of our readers in the Northern Hemisphere, remember to stay hydrated, summer is definitely here! Our China team has endured a record breaking heat wave in Shanghai. It’s hot nearly everywhere and it looks like it could get even hotter!

Website Launch
Speaking of hot, how about the new DECENT website we launched this month! Aside from the slick new interface and a cleaner brand image, we also added a ton of new features and a little something extra for DCT holders!

The biggest excitement about the new website revolves around our new voting tool! The basis of which will allow any DCT holder to participate in our new witness selection model. If you haven’t had a chance to read about it yet, you can do so here.

Big Talks
In addition to our attendance at the NAB Show Shanghai and COMPUTEX Taipei, our CEO and Founder, Matej Michalko, was invited to the Slovak-Chinese Business Forum, in Beijing, to talk about blockchain with government officials. It was a great opportunity to share our knowledge of this amazing technology with those that have the power to affect government policies.

The Need for Speed (and Security)
Back in Slovakia, our development team also made major strides in upgrading the fundamental elements of DCore. Most importantly, we have upgraded our network, drastically increasing the amount of transactions per second possible on DCore. In addition to this upgrade in TPS, we’re also making it possible now to see the entire history of each transaction and the balance difference resulting from each transaction.

A Personal Thought
We are very excited that our Founder and CEO, Matej Michalko, has decided to start writing his own blog on Medium. No doubt about it, Matej has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the blockchain space. He’s constantly looking for ways to share his ideas on the most pressing news and innovations, so creating a personal blog for all things blockchain just seemed like the right fit.
Stay tuned for more from Matej! And, as always, feel free to join our discussion on Telegram.
