Big news for developers. Our DCore public testnet is officially up and running! The testnet allows for anyone interested in creating a dApp on DCore to be able to try them out on a test version of DCore.
Basically, the testnet is a deployed blockchain, a clone of the actual DCore technology and platform built specifically for testing purposes. This is great news for all developers and projects who want to use blockchain, but didn’t know how or where to start.
Developers now have an opportunity to test applications without any risk or consequence in case they discover an issue or bug. As one would guess, the dApps built on our DCore testnet are just for testing purposes. Actions on the testnet can be performed without using real currency, tester account registration, financial transactions, fees, or payment transfers.
For example, a developer could create a new wallet dApp on our testnet but balances or transfers from accounts within that dApp hold no actual value because it is running on our testnet blockchain, not the DCore mainnet. Even things like miner fees are simulated without being attached to value and miner nodes need not be run by real, paid miners.
We’ve created informative documentation on how to get started developing your own dApp on DCore testnet. It’s free to use so why not give it a try!
